The amount of time you need to dedicate to onboarding depends on your goals, the support of your team, and how much time you can set aside.
The time you’ll need to dedicate to onboarding can vary depending on your goals, your team setup, and the complexity of your processes. However, we know it’s helpful to have a ballpark estimate.
💡 We recommend setting aside at least 3 hours per week outside of your scheduled calls to complete background work that coincides with your onboarding schedule
In the early stages (weeks 1–6), you may need more time as we focus on foundational setup. In later stages, the workload often decreases slightly. If you're undertaking Enterprise onboarding, the time commitment is likely to be higher due to the complexity of your set up and data model.
Your HubGem consultant will guide you each week on what needs to be completed outside of calls. If you’re ever struggling with the workload, please let your consultant know. We can adjust the schedule, advise where to prioritise your time, or discuss increasing support hours (so your consultant and the HubGem team can take on some of the workload).
We suggest that you choose a period for implementing HubSpot when your team can fully commit to the project. We also ask that you nominate an internal project champion who can help guide the project forward, and be responsible for completing tasks outside of the call.
